mickeviciusA. Mickiewicz Museum is housed in the memorial flat of the poet where he had worked at his poem "Gražina".

Most valuable showpieces of the Museum are personal things of A. Mickiewicz: a small table, his chair used by the poet while living in Kaunas and an arm chair from Paris. The Museum has also acquired artworks of eminent Lithuanian sculptors G. Jokūbonis and B. Vyšniauskas, a school graduation certificate given to Simon Martyszewski signed by A. Mickiewicz. At present over 200 exhibits are provided at the Museum, it also has its small library.

The Museum collects, preserves, investigates and actualizes the compiled material related to A. Mickiewicz's creative activities and his life:

  • Adam Mickiewicz's works, biographical literature, and articles;
  • Visual material: sculptures, portraits, photographs, medals;
  • Supplementary fund: photoarchives of events organized by the Museum.

 

In order to prevent the possible spread of coronavirus only visitors wearing protective masks or other personal protective measures will be allowed at the museum.
