Miron Boutkowsky (1865-?)

Vilnius photographer; began working with Fridrik Martini in 1888. When F.Martini left Vilnius a year later, Boutkowsky took over as sole owner of their atelier. He and his brother Leon worked together from 1896-1908. Their photographs were stamped Boutkowsky Frs Vilna. In 1900, a gift of their photographs to the Shah earned the brothers the title Estate Photographers for the Shah of Persia.Their atelier functioned until 1940.
