Nikolay Ostankovich
(1854-?)
Owner of a photo atelier in Moscow. Visited
Lithuania in the summer of 1903 and 1904 while collecting material for "An Album of
Views of Russia"; worked as a photographer for the detective branch of the Vilnius
police in 1904. Produced several dozen professional photographs of Vilnius and its
surroundings. Ostankovich published his impressions of Vilnius, its landscape,
architecture and people in an article entitled , which was
printed in , a journal of history and literature published in St. Petersburg. |
