On Friday, 6 March we will celebrate the international Open Data Day. Open data is government, public sector or research data which is freely available in digital format for reuse and sharing. Open access to data has accelerated many scientific discoveries and inspired new business projects worldwide. The international Open Data Day has been celebrated since 2010.

This year, to commemorate the Open Data Day the Vilnius University Library will run an Open Research Data quiz. The bravest (and the fastest: first come first serve) among the visitors will have an opportunity to check their research data literacy and win special prizes. The rules are simple:

1) Approach the quiz stall next to the information desk;

2) Answer one or more questions related to scholarly research data;

3) Get a prize: the more and the harder the questions, the better the prize.

The quiz will take place on 6 March at 9:30-11:30 (Central Library) and 13:30-15:30 (SCIC). Everyone is welcome. The number of prizes is limited!
