Launched by New York Academy of Medicine Library six years ago, #ColorOurCollections is an annual coloring initiative during which over a hundred libraries, museums, archives and other cultural institutions around the world share their collections for coloring!
“Joachim Lelewel – The Historian That Mastered Color” is a coloring book that we prepared and dedicated to one of the most important collections of the library – historian Joachim Lelewel’s (1786-1861) personal collection. It retained old cartography, valuable collection of books and scientist’s documentary heritage. The coloring book pages contains short stories about Lelewel’s personality and images from his unique collection, as well as a charade that has not been decoded yet!
