As summer holidays are nearing the end, VU Library is getting back to the usual working hours. Users will be provided services on the following days and working hours:
Central Library
- Monday-Friday: the reading rooms at the Central Library will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- On Saturdays the Central Library will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Scholarly Communication and Information Centre (SCIC)
- SCIC will be open 24/7 (24 hours a day and 7 days a week).
- Textbooks Collection will be open on working days from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
After 9 p.m. entrance to the SCIC with user cards only.
Medicine and Geosciences Reading Room
From 25 August the Medicine and Geosciences Reading Room (located in M. K. Čiurlionio g. 21/27) will be open 24/7 (24 hours a day and 7 days a week).
Librarians will be working at the Information Desk on working days from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., on Saturdays – from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
After 8 p.m. entrance to the Medicine and Geosciences Reading Room with user cards only.

Book Borrowing
Books are to be borrowed as usual.
Book Returning
Books are to be returned as usual. If you have the opportunity to return borrowed books, please do this as other users might be waiting for the books you have borrowed. Fines will not be incurred until the 1st of September.
