VU Library invites the members of Vilnius University community to the training "Introduction to Research Data Management".

Collecting the data that underpins scientific publications is time-consuming and costs effort, so it is worth taking good care of it. Poorly managed research data can lead to erroneous conclusions, and lost data can jeopardise the success of the research. Nowadays, most research data exist in digital format. The training will address the following questions: How can the files on your computer be managed more efficiently, in order to prevent data loss and to ensure that the accumulated data remain(s) usable for a long time? What are the data management requirements of the European Union and the Lithuanian Research Council for research projects they fund? What tools and platforms could make it easier to maintain your data and meet the requirements of funding organisations?
