We congratulate all students, professors, and the entire University community on 1 September – the beginning of a new academic year. We wish you successful and inspiring work, manageable challenges, and days filled with joyful discoveries.
As every year, a large group of newcomers – first-year students – will walk through the University doors. We are really happy to welcome new members to our community and warmly invite them to attend the events presenting rich resources and services provided by the Library.
Sleepless Library: Discover Spaces and Resources for Studies
On 2–5 September, there will be presentations for students during which members of the Library staff will give the most significant information for new users of Library services. Students will get to know the Library services, how to search for resources necessary for studies, the Library spaces designated for studies and leisure, consultations and training provided by the Library that help to prepare research papers.

Contact Fair
On 5 September, a festival for freshers’ integration Ad Astra will take place in the courtyards of the University’s old campus. Members of the Library staff will participate in the Contact Fair, a part of the festival, which will start at 4.00 pm (the Grand courtyard). They will answer all student questions about the Library’s services, collections, spaces for study and leisure, and events. Library representatives will also share what treasures are hidden here, in one of the most beautiful and resource-rich academic libraries in Lithuania.
