JoVE
is a scientific database and learning platform that offers a unique collection of peer-reviewed research videos, laboratory protocols, experimental demonstrations, and instructional videos spanning various fields, including biology, medicine, chemistry, physics, geosciences, and psychology.
Starting from 1 September, VU community members will have access to the Business collection within this database. The JoVE Business collection provides instructional videos aimed at helping users understand how organizations operate, make decisions, manage finances, and respond to market changes. This collection is organized by key business disciplines:
- Accounting: recording transactions, preparing financial statements, budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Finance: financial management, investment decisions, financial markets, capital raising, asset management, and risk assessment.
- Macroeconomics: a country’s economic indicators, inflation, unemployment, economic growth and the role of fiscal policy.
- Marketing: market research, consumer behaviour, B2B marketing, pricing, communication, and customer value.
- Microeconomics: production, labour, prices, demand, and decisions made by firms.
This Business collection is designed for anyone who wants to get acquainted with crucial subjects in business, economics, finance, and marketing. It allows for a deeper understanding of the material while also providing insights into organizational practices and decision-making. The video resources are perfect for preparing academic papers, broadening professional expertise, teaching concepts, and improving knowledge of practical business management.
