- Participate in establishment of Vilnius University Library information resources management, development and storage policy
- Decide on user service strategic development; maintain high-standard services and promote them
- Participate in drawing up programs aiming at the enhancement of information literacy skills of VU academic community
- Coordinate the maintenance and safekeeping of the Library holdings
- Coordinate compilation and publication of bibliographic resources
- Organize surveys allowing to monitor the quality of the Library holdings and services
