Vilnius University Library presents a new database and other e-resources search system enabling one to find all databases subscribed by Vilnius University, tools for information management, e-book collections and open access or free trial resources much easier and simpler.
The system offers a list of databases arranged in alphabetical order. Users may search for a particular database or e-resource, or browse the list based on selected criteria.
The search can be performed by subject or keyword: for example, by entering the word medicine in the search box, you will be provided with databases and resources containing information on medicine. However, please note that the database search system is designed in order to find the database you are interested in, while you should search for articles, e-journals and e-books themselves by accessing the particular database or via Virtual Library.
The new system allows direct access to informational assistance while searching for the necessary information and that might also be helpful for users. After selecting the field of science you are interested in on the menu bar (see the link Subject), the system will offer the contacts of the subject librarian in charge of this field, who can advise you on information search issues.
