While marking the Day of the Restoration of the State of Lithuania, we have an occasion to celebrate and feel joy for the most precious values that we have received – independence and freedom.
The Act of the Independence of 16 February 1918 is a symbol of the renaissance of the Lithuanian state and freedom. This document gave a meaning to the aspiration to build the statehood, it encouraged unity and dedication of the nation, hope for the future and the spiritual strength of Lithuanian citizens.
The unity, dedication and sacrifice of the Ukrainians, who fight for their country, makes this holiday even more important and reminds us of a great gift to live in our own country, the idea of which is based on the ideals of freedom.
Let us congratulate each other on the celebration of freedom, democracy and unity and wish Lithuania a bright future.
