As the Government refuses to honour its promise to allocate additional funds for raising salaries for professors, researchers and non-academic staff from the 1st of January, Vilnius University has announced its decision to temporarily stop its activities.

According to the Research Council of Lithuania’s (RCL) Guidelines on Open Access to Research Publications and Data that entered into force in 2016, research projects which will generate research data are required to submit a data management plan (DMP).

A gift worthy of praise: most recently, the Cyrillic book collection of Vilnius University Library was supplemented by Doctor of the Church St John Chrysostom’s work Homilies on Genesis (Volume 1).

Participating in a scientific conference is one of many ways for the researcher to seek visibility and recognition in the academic society, so it’s no wonder that scientists are interested in these offers. However, they need to be careful – most of such invitations are the lure of predatory conference organizers.

In an exhibition by Estonian artists – positive dialogue with time

In May Vilnius University Library holds the exhibition “Diapositive” by Reiu Tüür and Peeter Krosmann. This will be the second joint exhibition of the two Estonian artists living in Lithuania.
