The community of VU have access to triall products until 16th October 2020.
From 1 August, only visitors wearing protective masks or other personal protective measures will be provided services at the library. Please keep a safe distance from other users and observe hand hygiene and disinfection.

As the Government of the Republic of Lithuania begins relaxing lockdown rules, VU Library lifts some restrictions that were imposed to protect users and prevent the spread of COVID-19, as well. From 1 June the majority of reading rooms will reopen and the book borrowing and returning as well as copying services will return.
This year Vilnius University Library marks its 450th anniversary. Rich history of the Library is closely intertwined with the history of Vilnius University, Lithuanian science and culture. The Library has successfully survived many ebbs and flows, wars, fires and plunders; it was cherished by rulers, patrons, and the entire University community.
From 19 May you may return books in a non-contact way using self-service machines at Vilnius University Library’s Scholarly Communication and Information Centre, Central Library, and Medicine and Geosciences Reading Room.

While celebrating a special 450th anniversary, Vilnius University Library has launched an updated online platform of the Digital Collections for users. Supplemented with thousands of new documents, the platform will enable simpler search, improved preview of objects and intuitive navigation.
